Ideal for home and office use, the Diamond View DV648U scans pages and photographs quickly and easily with an optical resolution of up to 600 x 1200 dpi. The TWAIN compliant Diamond View software driver is both powerful, with a wide range of available image enhancements, and easy to use. Simply open the driver, preview the page with one click, select the area to be scanned by clicking and dragging and click Scan to import the image into your application.
Use the Photo Express software included with the scanner or other image editing software to scan photographs for presentations, e-mailing or placing on the web. Save hours of typing using FineReader Optical Character Recognition software. FineReader allows you to accurately scan printed pages of text and save them as text files, even if they use more than one column. PageManager document management and Diamond View Copier software are also included.
The DV648U is easy to install, too! Thanks to its USB interface you just plug its adaptor into the wall socket and then use the USB cable to connect it to your PC's or Mac's USB port. Driver installation takes only a few minutes.

Easy-to-use Optical Character Recognition. FineReader is a program that scans and recognises text from any document, saving it as a text file that can be easily accessed or edited as required. Text in columns, such as newsprint is automatically detected.
