The Diamond Voice 56 PC Card is a Type II PCMCIA card fax modem for Apple Macintosh and PC-based notebook computers. It is ideal for mobile users who require access to email, the internet or remote access services while away from the office. It incorporates advanced features such as Digital Line Protection which protects the modem from damage if it is accidentally connected to a digital PABX telephone system. Digital PABXs are increasingly found in hotels and some businesses.

Cheyenne BitWare communications software is included, allowing the modem to send and receive faxes and act as a data communications terminal.
